Simel Kecicioglu

Simel Kecicioglu has started her artistic life with ballet. She took ballet classes for 13 years (1994-2007). She finished private ballet school and took a diplome from Nilay Ballet School. She graduated from Istanbul State Conservatory, Theatre Department in 2011. During school, she started to do Aikido profesionally in 2010. With aikido she wanted to see how it works together theatre and the discipline of Japan culture. She decided to go SCOT. In 2011 she went to Japan to learn the Suzuki technique from SCOT. She worked with Kameron Steele on the technique. After school she started to work with National Theatre of Istanbul for three years. During theatre works she acted in some tv series and a movie. In 2013 she went to New York to take a workshop from Actors Without Borders. She worked on different techniques like grotowski, viewpoint, synapsing and scene study with Zishan Ugurlu for a month. In 2014 she went to Paris to do Phsysical Theatre school named Ecole International de Theatre Jaques Lecoq. She graduated from Lecoq in 2016. Now she is working with Atta Festival & BonteHond co-production Wanted Rabbit. And also acting in a local tv series.
