Oya Bacak

Oya Bacak is a theatre performer from Istanbul, Turkey. She continued her studies in Italy where she obtained a BA in Audiovisual Arts and her degree was focused on film studies. In Italy, she worked with Andrea De Magistris where she explored biomechanics of Meyerhold. She has a classical ballet background. In 2012, She received an Ma in physical theatre from St. Mary’s University College in London. She is one of the founders of Vacuum Theatre. She has performed in the U.K, Italy, Turkey, India, South Korea and Denmark. In 2018, after 13 years of living and working abroad, She decided to go back to her roots, for now she continues her acting career in Istanbul.
